Now he just launched his own label Damage Berlin. His debut in Factor City "Puesta de sol" is an enormous peak-time club killer. On the flip Stimming remix shows why he's one of the rising producers at this time. His rework of "Puesta de sol" is just another step forward. He delivers a stripped down warehouse version full of tension and surely another hit.

Bristol's four:twenty imprint deliver one of their "music" label compilations early 2010, this time featuring a selection of the labels brilliant catalogue compiled, mixed and re-edited by glimpse. christopher spero, aka glimpse, had an exceptional 2009 with releases gracing Planet E, Cadenza, Kindisch, Buzzin Fly and his own Glimpse Recordings as well as his heavily supported single for FourTwenty so was first choice to handle the British imprints' 3rd compilation. FourTwenty itself hasn't had a bad run, either. Releases featuring the likes of Solomun, Locodice, Andomat3000, Class71 and Two Armadillos have seen the label establish itself as one of the leading lights of forward thinking, dancefloor house. The mix clocks in at 59 minutes and features some of the true highlights of Four:Twenty's 50 release history. A staggering 27 tracks are combined into a subtle, moving and delicately driving mix which not only shows off the label, but mixer Glimpse's deft skill in the studio and behind the decks. Each track has been lovingly edited and segued, and has been done with respect and musical understanding. The likes of Move D, Lauhaus and Luna City Express rub shoulders with FourTwenty-unearthed gems such as Cherry, Mowbray & Sullivan and Suelo (who stands with the unreleased "One Week") in a mix which sums up Four Twenty wonderfully.

This is the 3rd WBEEZA ep on Third Ear Recordings, following the Heavy Stuff ep (3EEP-096) and the New Skank ep (3EEP-100), and shows the young Londoner beginning to stretch out and further show his writing and production skills. A1 Candle Groove. A repeating keyboard figure is the only constant in this spectacular 'freebop' workout. Played live and recorded on the fly in one take with no editing, the track is a whirlwind of muscular, sinuous beats held in a constant tension. There is a breakdown, but the respite is momentary before the arrangement is marshalled by the young producer to carry everyone, once again, up and away on the groove. A2 A116. Named after the warehouse unit that is home to Wbeeza's studio, A116 is a dj weapon and designed as such. The structure of the track serves its singular purpose: a roller coaster of a ride around the dancefloor, but with one difference; the end is not a sedate roll into the finish in order to step off the roller coaster. B1 Hip Op. In contrast to the live, improvised techniques of Candle Groove, Hip Op is an exercise in maximising the vibe and energy contained in a just two loops. Very different performing and arranging techniques, same result: killer track. B2 All Those Beats. Following the arrangement of the tracks on the previous 2 Wbeeza eps, the final cut, All Those Beats is more of a song than the other cuts on the ep. And once again it is a song grounded in the London of today. With a vocal he coaxed out of his cousin Damian, Wbeeza guilds a stepping House groove with anthemic synth lines and castanets to create a celebrational, inclusive statement of Our music and its internationality.
