Lowkey & Kardinal, the co-owners of the GOOG label which ranked among 2008 top sales by Junorecords, prove to make a powerful and eclectic duet thanks to the sonorities they deliver. The two met in the early 2000s and released their first EP on the label freak'sion in 2003. They co founded GOOG in 2004. Since then they have produced such diverse names as Scan X, Da Fresh and Al Ferox. Former musician and a veteran globetrotter who has rocked nightclubs across the world, Lowkey first emerged on the electronic music scene in Dijon at "L'an fer", one of the pioneer underground clubs in France, in the late nineties, succeeding Tonio and Laurent Garnier. Lowkey is now a leading figure in the French electronic music industry. The talented music producer Kardinal, amazing at sampling, will certainly be on the forefront of the electronic music scene as well. Expect to hear much more from these guys soon!

Expert techno producer Alex Cortex returns with a four tracker, which includes some of his best work to date. Alex Cortex is best known for his versatile output, from melodic downbeat electronica for labels like Ann Aimee to kicking techno or Drexciya-style electro. 'I Won't Conform' follows up his acclaimed 2008 release Non Rigid Designator, this time putting more focus on the dancefloor. The record kicks off with 'Optumismo', a dub techno tune featuring strong references to Basic Channel. The second cut is the title track 'I Won't Conform', a dry Chicago jack track using a repetitive vocal to maximum effect. The flip features 'Aproximalamente' -break beats and a catchy hook create a hypnotic electro tune with that special Cortex vibe- and 'Supernitengo', ultradeep and the most housey effort on this 12".
